EBOS receives no external funding - therefore we rely on the support of our members and patrons to keep the Society thriving. We do appreciate that the current economic climate is challenging for all and this is true for the Society too as we are facing increasing running costs for our Pinewood premises.
The Committee therefore gratefully requests that all members and EBOS Patrons, past and present, renew membership each year regardless of whether you intend to perform in a show or not. Please also ask your family and friends to support EBOS by becoming an EBOS Patron.
It is a Society requirement that all members of the cast of any show are full members of EBOS and pay the requested rehearsal fee. Juniors and those in full time education may pay a reduced amount.
The membership year runs from 1 January to 31 December. Current annual subscription rates are:
- Full adult membership - £40
- Full adult joint membership (2 in the same household) - £70
- Junior/full time education - £20
- EBOS Patron - £15
- EBOS Patron (couple) - £30
Rehearsal fees are also payable by cast members. The cost is announced at the start of the rehearsal period

The Technical Crew are always pleased to welcome new members, especially those with experience of lighting, sound, stage management, set building and painting (or those who are keen to learn!)
As you will see from our past productions list, our performances include both light opera and musicals - so there is something for everyone.
MEET OUR PRESIDENT
We are proud to have the very talented Claudie Blakley as our President. Claudie is a highly regarded screen and stage actress, whom most of us will have seen on the television in Gosford Park and Lark Rise to Candleford, as well as Silent Witness.
Claudie is an avid supporter of EBOS and regularly comes to see us perform as and when her busy schedule allows.
