EBOS is one of the leading amateur dramatic and musical theatre societies in Berkshire.
Founded in 1952 as East Berkshire Operatic Society, the society continues to produce award winning pieces of musical theatre and drama. We produce a minimum of four shows every year and perform in the Wilde Theatre at South Hill Park in Bracknell and in our own 70 seat Pinewood Theatre in Wokingham.
Pinewood Theatre is the focal hub of the Society. As well as being our theatre, it is also our rehearsal space and is used for a variety of social activities during the year. EBOS provides a welcoming atmosphere for new and old members and what’s more, there is a bar and café next door - great for relaxing after rehearsals or shows.
As well as being a place for budding performers, we have our own workshop and properties store and we are always on the lookout for new members for the technical crew. These often unsung heroes provide EBOS with incredible sets, fantastic sound and lighting for the productions and wonderful stage management. If you are interested in joining the Society as part of the technical crew, please do let us know.
In addition, EBOS has an extensive wardrobe and the wardrobe team welcome anyone interested in designing and creating costumes for our shows. Costumes can also be hired for other shows or fancy dress events.
It's not all about performing shows... we organise a wide variety of social events organised throughout the year including quiz and bingo nights, summer BBQ, cabaret evenings and theatre trips.
If you would like any further information on joining EBOS, any of our upcoming shows, or you are interested in hiring our rehearsal space for your activity, please email firstname.lastname@example.org; the team aim to respond within 48 hours to all messages. If you would like to be added to the mailing list, please submit your email address below and this will be arranged.
