Coronavirus/COVID-19 Update - 23 June 2020
The safety of our audiences, actors, production teams and technical crew is paramount to us as we navigate this challenging time. We therefore regret to announce that our Pinewood Theatre is closed and will remain closed until further notice. We will re-open as soon as possible, in line with government recommendations.
Due to this continuing period of closure, we have reviewed our programming and regret to announce that we have had to postpone our forthcoming production of The Oldest Profession at Pinewood. The performances have been rescheduled to 17th - 20th March 2021, and we will be in touch shortly if you have already booked tickets. Please bear with us at this time.
Back to the 80s has now been rescheduled to 11th - 15th May 2021. We anticipate that the South Hill Park box office will have tickets available from early in the New Year.
Although we are still planning to perform Chicago in November, we are looking at other ways at engaging with our audiences and membership over the next few months. We hope to have some exciting news soon!
The magic of theatre lies in its live performances and it is not something that can be experienced in the same way remotely. Its ability to lift people and entertain people even in times of difficulty is unparalleled and so we are extremely grateful to all of our audiences, who have continued to support us for as long as they can. At this time, we must come together to support each other. Theatre, amateur and professional, relies on its audiences entirely to exist. We will rely on you in the future more than ever.
Many theatres that have been forced to cancel performances are charitable enterprises and have reached out to their audiences and asked for their support by donating their tickets. While EBOS has chosen not to ask for donations at the present time, we would ask that our patrons continue to support South Hill Park Arts Centre, as we have had a close association since its inception and is where we continue to perform our main productions. SHP offer gift vouchers to use when the arts centre is fully open, or you can make a donation to the Trust.
